10 Questions – 10 Answers
1. Can I freely design my shop?
Of course you can. You receive a self-contained entity that can be individually configured: your logo, your corporate design guidelines, your colours, your domain, your legal notice, your content, your business logic, your special requests, your individual functions, etc. Home page and other content can also be personalised and dynamically designed with ease. It is not possible to draw conclusions about PE Data - we do not appear in the legal notice either. At the same time, however, you have all the advantages of the cloud: you always have the latest version in use and we take care of your peace of mind: servers, software, security, performance, accessibility - we guarantee all this. You save high initial investments, can rely on a successful partnership, secure your competitiveness and benefit from continuous further development.
2. What are the differences between the dealer version and the industrial version?
3. How secure is my data?
The security of your data is an obvious matter for us. For maximum security, we also offer our customers an option that creates all the organisational, technical and contractual conditions for you to know and determine who has access to your data at all times. You can even prevent PE Data from accessing your data itself. In this case, we work together with a strong partner who takes over the operation of your web shop for us. This partner offers you the same excellent service as we do. Here, too, you benefit from the continuous further development of the system.
4. How does the product information get into the shop?
We offer you different possibilities in this regard: we support the industry standard TecDoc and are able to integrate this data without any problems. For this you need a data usage contract with TecDoc or Topmotive. We take care of everything else for you. If you have product data that deviates from the TecDoc format, we can also enable implementation in this case.
5. Which connections to my ERP system are possible?
We have already connected a large number of ERP systems to the shop systems we have implemented. We are happy to respond to your individual circumstances. Depending on your requirements, we can provide simple connections or implement complex and extensive interfaces. In addition to industry standards, EDI, web services and our own standard, we also offer to adapt the web shop to existing interfaces.
6. Can I add or integrate my own data?
Of course you can. Whether complete product portfolios or additional information, such as photos, technical information, cross-references or videos - we supplement the product database according to your specifications. Thus, also distributed knowledge of your organisation is bundled in the shop and becomes even more valuable for you and your customers. Please note, however, that data usage agreements you have concluded with third parties such as TecDoc or Topmotive may contain provisions that restrict the addition and modification of product data.
7. Where is the shop hosted?
So far we have had good experiences with hosting in Germany. Our servers are located in large server parks with redundant connections. However, depending on the region, it may make sense to mirror your data in your country in order to improve performance. We will be happy to advise you.
8. How soon can we be online?
Depending on your requirements for customisation, the complexity of your business logic and, if necessary, the availability of your ERP service provider, implementation is possible within 2-3 months.
9. Who attaches the sticker to the vehicle at QR.VIN?
The QR stickers are pre-produced by PE Data for your company (also with your logo) in any quantity. It does not matter which sticker gets on which truck or trailer. You can distribute the stickers to your workshop customers and fleet managers as you wish. If, for example, a workshop employee has attached the sticker to the vehicle, he/she can link the QR code to the vehicle in the shop in a few, uncomplicated steps. From now on every order is a breeze.
10. Does the system also work on smartphones and tablets?
By 2016, the smartphone was already the most widely used device for accessing the Internet. In the same year, Google made “Mobile Friendliness” the ranking factor and later the mobile index the primary index. That is why we design everything with high priority also for smart devices. We follow the principle “Mobile First” without neglecting the support of modern desktop browsers. This gives all users on all platforms a complete and well thought-out interface.
